1964 Topps

Front of these cards contain a large color photograph of the player that blends into the top of the panel where the players team name can be found. The bottom of the card contains a box with the players name and position. The backs were printed in orange on a white background, which makes them hard to read. There are more centering problems on the card backs than any other set, and the orange borders are easily chipped. The backs also contain typical statistics and biographical information as well as a cartoon quiz that required rubbing of white panel to reveal the answer.
Specialty cards include:
Statistical Leaders (LL)
Multi-player cards (MP)
World Series Highlights (WS)
Rookie cards

Series I: 1-109
Series II: 110-196
Series III: 197-283
Series IV: 284-370
Series V: 371-446
Series VI: 447-522
Series VII: 523-587 This series is the rarest and carries a premium.

1963 Topps

Although the number of cards in 1963 Topps decreased to 576, this is one of the most popular sets of the decade. The card fronts feature a large color player photograph with a smaller black and white portrait located inside a circle at the bottom of the card. The players name, team and position are also located along the bottom in a color box. The backs contain the typical statistical information along with a cartoon and a short biography. There are a handful of Short Printed (SP) cards and the high series (447-576) are scarcer and carry a premium.

1st series (1 - 109) the first 10 cards consist of the popular League Leader
card 3 HR Leaders Ernie Banks
card 54 had a error that were corrected in mid-run
2nd Series (110 - 196)
Landrum’s card 113 The photo was not that of Landrum but rather Ron Santo.
3rd Series (197 - 283)
card 242 Power Plus, featuring a full-length photo where Ernie Banks is the "Power" and Hank Aaron is the "Plus"
4th Series (284 - 370) these numbers are scarce and should command a price premium.
5th Series (371- 446) Legendary greats like #380 Ernie Banks
6th Series (447 - 522) scarce they command only a slight premium.
7th Series (523 - 576)
