1941 Double Play Chicago Cubs (R330)

The full cards measure 2 1/2" by 3 1/8". Fronts feature sepia-toned black and white photos of two different players from the same team, against a white background that also serves as the border. Below each picture is a short biography and statistical information, as well as the card number (each player has his own individual number). The cards are blank-backed.

They were produced by a Massachusetts-based company called Gum Products, Inc

There are 150 player pictures spread out over 75 cards. Cards numbered 1-79 and 101-150 are arranged horizontally and feature portrait shots, while 80-100 are arranged vertically with full-body action shots.

Cards that have been cut in half to form "singles" have a greatly reduced value. The player on the left has an odd number and the other player has an even number.

2012 Topps Archives Chicago Cubs

Release Date: May 23, 2012

With many great autographs to collect plus plenty of insert and parallel cards this set and should be a big hit and this blogger is looking forward to May of 2012. I just hope that Banks Autographed Originals finds its way into the collection.

The 200-card base set will be divided into five 40-card subsets. Four of those will feature a variety of players, although mostly current stars, on cards meant to evoke one of four classic Topps designs: 1954, 1971, 1980 and 1984. The remaining 40 cards make up the short-printed All-Time Fan Favorites subset. Like the All-Time Fan Favorites sets of the middle part of the last decade

2012 Chicago Cubs Projected Lineup

2012 Chicago Cubs Projected Lineup

I think the Cubs will be a .500 team this year and will improve with time. Hopefully Dale Sveum will get these guys to play some small ball with better defense and of course hustle, something are team has lacked for many years . Very excited about are new front office and over the next few years get some young hungry players and maybe a championship.

1992 Pinnacle Chicago Cubs

Pinnacle was a brand made by the Score Company and marked their entrance into the high end card market. Pinnacle had a short lived run with only 7 sets (1992-1998).

These cards feature black borders on the front surrounded by a white frame with a full color photo inside. The players name and team are located along the bottom. The players position and the Pinnacle logo can be found along the top border. The backs are horizontal and feature a closeup photo along with stats, team logo and biographical information.

The 1992 Pinnacle baseball card set consisted of 620 baseball cards that measure 2-1/2" by 3-1/2". An anti-counterfeit device appears in the bottom border of each card back. A special ribbed plastic lenticular detector card was made available that allowed the user to view the anti-counterfeit device and unscramble the coding with the word "Pinnacle" appearing.
