E106 American Caramel (1915)

Number of Cards

1915 American Caramel has 48 cards, which there are 2 Cubs players.

Size of Cards

The cards are the following dimensions: 1 1/2″ x 2 3/4″

Basic Features

Every card features a colored background adorned with portraits, along with the player's name, team, and position displayed at the bottom. Unlike some other caramel issues, the backs of these cards do not contain a checklist. Instead, they feature a message that informs collectors about the inclusion of 48 players in the set, which was distributed by the American Caramel Company.

An intriguing detail about this group is that Chicago Whales player Joe Tinker was part of it. The Whales are recognized as the first team to play in the stadium currently referred to as Wrigley Field, which is now the home of the Chicago Cubs and remains the only Federal League stadium still operational. Naturally, Tinker was a key player in a remarkable double-play duo alongside his teammates Johnny Evers and Frank Chance, famously known as "Tinker-to-Evers-to-Chance."
