Issued in 1983, the 52 Topps reprints came in a blue box and were the first reprint set issued by Topps. These cards were reduced from the original card size to the standard 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 card size and have a glossy finish. The reprint set contains 402 of the original 407 cards. All the Cubs players in the original 52 set have reprinted cards.
