As you can see, there are variations between the 1935–1936 U3-1 and the 1936–1937 U3-2.
Let's take a closer look at it using the great cub Stan Hack as our example.
The blue one in this example is the 1935-36 U3-1.
The red one is the 1936-37 U3-2.
The first major clue is that the pictures of Hack 1936–37 U3-2 are of the head and shoulders, while the early release is a whole body shot.
The best way to tell the difference, because some of the pictures are alike, is in the bio. As you can see, the 1936-37 U3-2 bio mentions the 1936 season. Well, that concludes this series on matchbooks. If you have any questions, just email me and I will be happy to answer them.
