Issued in 1911 by the American Tobacco Company, this set was the second of the great tobacco sets to be issued. Unique for its gold leaf borders which make them very fragile the T205 set featured three different types of designs on the front
The fronts are litho printed
Nationals being head to shoulder portraits.
Americans are headshots inside a diamond.
Minor league three quarters body shot.
The set consists of 219 cards that measure 1-7/16" x 2-5/8".
Eleven different cigarette companies inserted these cards into their packs.
Very little about card backs are ever discussed, but the reverse side can be very interesting.
