1920 W516 Strip Card Cubs

Basic Features

These colorful cards are referred to as "strip cards" because they were originally issued in uncut sheets or "strips," designed to be cut apart with scissors. colorful painted fronts with either a portrait or action shot of the players. Name, team name, and position are listed below the border, with card number to the right or left. The card backs are blank. W516 cards is that there are five different types. Some are very similar but others are not. The reason for the confusion is that all five types use the same pictures.

1961 Bazooka + Panel (R414-21)

1961 Bazooka has 36 cards which there is 2 Cub player and 2 panels

Card Dimensions

The cards measure 1 13/16" by 2 3/4" and the panels measure 2 3/4" by 5 1/2".

Basic Features

In 1961, Bazooka was released in three-card panels that came with boxes of Bazooka gum. The cards were individually hand-cut from the panel, following dotted lines as a guide. Each card has a number located in the bottom right corner, and they all showcase a vibrant color photo of the player, framed by a white border that includes the player's name, team name, and position.

1898 Cameo Pepsin Gum Pins (PE4)

Basic Features

Created in 1898, this collection ranks among the earliest known baseball memorabilia. They are so old that the team was originally called the Chicago Orphans from 1898 to 1901, although they are still recognized as the Cubs, just an earlier name. The front of the pin features a headshot of a player with the player's name inscribed along the edge. The reverse side displays an advertisement for Cameo Pepsin Gum, indicating that the gum is produced by the American Pepsin Gum Company located in Newark, New Jersey.
