1964-66 Guy's Potato Chip Pins

Number of Cards

From 1964 to 1966, Guy's Potato Chip produced a total of 20 team pins, with one pin created for each Major League Baseball team each year over the course of three consecutive years.

Size of Cards

The pins measured 7/8" in diameter

In the years 1964, 1965, and 1966, pins were placed into cans of potato chips. The years corresponding to the pins can be identified by their reverse side. The backs feature the Guy's Potato Chips logo, there are unmarked pins in 64. The pins from 1964 display the logo but lack a date, while the years 1965 and 1966 include the dates on their backs.

1964 Guy's Potato Chip Pins (PF32):

In 1964, the front design of the (regular) Chicago Cubs pins showcases a star on each side of the team name. Nevertheless, one variant displays three stars on both sides. There is no date on the back, and a blank back variation is often mistakenly associated with the year 1962, which is incorrect!

1965 Guy's Potato Chip Pins (PF33):

In 1965, the fronts of the standard Chicago Cubs pins display a star on both sides of the team name. Nevertheless, one variant showcases three stars on each side. Additionally, the color was altered to a yellow pin with red lettering.

1966 Guy's Potato Chip Pins (PF34):

In 1966, the fronts of the standard Chicago Cubs pins display a star on both sides of the team name. Additionally, the color was altered to a yellow pin with green lettering.
