Basic Features
These cards feature photographs from the Hall Studio in New York, affixed to sturdy cardboard. The sepia-toned images exhibit a white or pink tint, with "Goodwin Co., New York" printed at the bottom, and each card has a blank reverse side. Remarkably, there are over 4,500 known variations and types of these cards. They were included in packs of Old Judge and Gypsy Queen cigarettes, with the latter brand's cards valued at twice that of their Old Judge equivalents. The Cubs are known by two distinct names: the White Stockings and the 1890 Colts. With 300 variations, creating a master set that is nearly impossible to compile.
