Released by the Standard Biscuit Company based in San Francisco, every card in this regional set showcases a black-and-white image of a player framed by a white border. At the bottom of the card, printed within the border, are the player's name, position, team name, and card number. On the back, there is a Standard Biscuit advertisement stating: "You will find a photograph of a member of the American or National League in every 5 and 10 cent package of our products." The simplest method to identify this set is through the reverse advertisement, which all cards featured. Numerous sets utilized identical images but had different backs. In addition to the various advertising backs mentioned above, these cards are often found with blank backs as well.
