Basic Features
Inserted one card per Pepsi carton in the Cincinnati area. The cards feature black and white photographs on the front and are unnumbered, produced by Mike Schechter Associates. Similar to most MSA sets, this collection is not licensed by Major League Baseball, and all logos have been removed. Each card is attached to an advertising panel that includes a checklist of 25 Cincinnati Reds and 15 'other SuperStar ballplayers,' along with a mail-in offer for a deck of SuperStar playing cards. The front of the card showcases a player portrait photo framed by a star against a red background, displaying the player's name, position, personal information, and statistics from 1977. You could hand cut the players to create a smaller card, which most collectors did.
