Basic Features

The 1955 Exhibits Postcard Backs series includes a re-release of sixty-four cards from a previous collection. There are two recognized variations for these postcard backs: some feature the phrase "A Mutoscope Card" printed on the reverse, while others do not. These cards are quite scarce! They were distributed via coin-operated vending machines and have no connection to the Mutoscope motion-picture device. Most Mutoscope cards showcase "pin-up" imagery.
