They were created as tops for the company's range of ice cream products.Premiums could be claimed by submitting any 12 Dixie Lids. Made from sturdy paper, these premiums showcase the player's statistics from the 1951 season in the lower right corner of the front. The player is depicted alongside a facsimile signature.
