The lids come in the the following 2 dimensions: 2-1/4" & 2-11/16" dia.
Basic Features
These lids were attached to ice cream cups and became a hit with collectors. The player images featured on the lids were printed in black and white, with the player's name and team displayed at the bottom. Furthermore, the lids included advertisements for various regional dairies. Around the top was a promotion for what we know today at Dixie Lids Premiums. “Save Any 12 Dixie Picture Lids for a Large Picture of Me”. Ralph Kiner was included in the lineup, featuring as a Pirate in the initial series and as a Cub in the subsequent one after his trade from Pittsburgh; however, there was no Cubs Premium.
