2012 Error Gimmicks

Since Topps has a history of basing Heritage gimmick cards on actual error cards, I have listed the following checklist of 1963 Topps errors below.

In the original '63 Topps set...

Card-15

was printed without Ken Hubbs's position on the front. This error was uncorrected.

Card-54

were both originally printed as "1962 ROOKIE STARS." and were corrected to read "1963 ROOKIE STARS."

Card-113

(Don Landrum) had a picture of the wrong player (Ron Santo ) on the front.

Card-380

incorrectly stated in the stat headers that Ernie Banks played in the minor leagues. This error was uncorrected.

1938 R323 Goudey Heads-Up Collection Chicago Cubs + White Sox

The cards in this 48-card set measure approximately 2 3/8" by 2 7/8". The 1938 Goudey set is commonly referred to as the Heads-Up set. These came in two series of the same 24 players. The first 24 cards in the set depicts pictures of players heads attached to a cartoonish body in baseball action. The next 24 cards in the set depicts the same players and the same poses. The difference is the next 24 cards include small cartoonish characters playing baseball along with captions.

The backs of these cards have player statistical and biographical information along with the Big League Chewing Gum ad.
