Fleer revolutionized the market in 1977 by introducing its inaugural glossy baseball sticker collection, dubbed the "Grand Slam Hi-Gloss Baseball Stickers".Following this groundbreaking launch, Fleer maintained an impressive 15-year streak of manufacturing glossy baseball team stickers. Each franchise received two distinct designs: a team logo sticker featuring the city name positioned above the emblem, and a cap monogram/team name sticker that mirrored the design aesthetic of earlier cloth patch editions. The reverse side of each sticker featured a clean white background, while the stickers themselves came in various color combinations—the Cubs had three options in blue, white, and yellow, while the Sox offered pink and white variations.
