1922 Exhibits (W461)

Between 1921 and 1928, seven distinct sets were released, each featuring subtle variations that enable collectors to distinguish between them, despite the fact that ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago) did not include any year on the cards.

Number of Cards

1922 Exhibits has a 74 cards which there are 5 Cubs players.

Size of Cards

The size of the cards are 3 3/8" x 5 3/8"

Basic Features

The features include black and white images of players. The names of the players on the cards are presented in a slender cursive font, while their team names are displayed in a standard, non-italicized font. Alongside the player's team, the league and position are also specified. The font color on the cards changes based on the background; it appears in black when the background is a lighter shade and in white when the background is darker.

This collection would have been significantly improved if they were postcards; however, the back is blank, unlike most of the W461 set from previous years.

Hack Miller stands out as my favorite photo in this collection, thanks to the captivating background. The buildings depicted would have made for a wonderful place to live in the past.
